This laboratory contains two X-ray machines. One of these (Philips) is used for standard measurements enabling calibration of deposition rates and fast characterisation of the materials grown in all the deposition systems.
The second X-ray machine (Bruker) is specially designed for in-situ studies. The high temperature cell is Ultra High Vacuum compatible, allowing investigations of samples while exposing to hydrogen. The resistivity of the samples can be measured simultaneously.
This X-ray facility was funded by a grant from Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation. |
